Mapping the Amazing Universe with 6 Coolest Charts

Mapping Marvel the universe is not the kind of thing that one can create by snapping one’s fingers.

First, there are many worlds out there in the multiverse; there are also all kinds of mysterious dimensions and other strange places. But even in one version of Earth there are many points of interest, from fan-favorite superhero cities to fictional nations found only in comic books. Trying to find every Marvel-ous hangout in New York City? Fuggedaboutit.

However, with his latest book of beautiful charts, that’s exactly what Tim Leong did: a map of the Marvel universe. With his new book, Marvel Super GraphicLeong made a painting of mysterious planes, a painting near Kamala Khan’s New Jersey residence and Moon Girl’s Lower East Side lab, even The girls said-a clear picture of who-is-sitting-where in the Empire State University cafeteria.

But that’s just the beginning. Leong—who, full disclosure, once served as WIRED’s design director—filled Marvel Super Graphic with charts and illustrations about many aspects of the Marvel comic book universe. Check out the geographically focused highlights from the book above.
