What Does the New Star Wars Saga Look Like to You?

Being in the middle star Wars it’s never been easy, but it’s been especially weird the last few years. As fans have found themselves constantly divided by detractors from within (and without) the community, Lucasfilm has repeatedly tried to find any solid footing behind anything without the direct involvement of Dave Filoni. It’s especially devastating on the film side of things, which recently added three new films from former X-Men writer Simon Kinberg to its ever-growing pile.

After Rise of Skywalker closed the Skywalker Saga in 2019, you wouldn’t be wrong to think that Disney wanted to clear the air before pushing the timeline forward with new movies. In 2020, the post-Get up The movie landscape seemed to be starting to take shape with the misfortune of Patty Jenkins Rogue Squadron, and feature films from JD Dillard and Taika Waititi. But as the years go by, the projects go quietly, we are told that they still exist, or stop their progress in some way. Things are equally unclear on the TV side of things: with The Acolyte which is done at the same time and Din Djarin and Grogu take time in the movie theater, we have The Skeleton Crew in december, Andor’s the last season in April, and another season of Ahsoka whenever the stars align.

Finally, a new one star Wars the saga will happen, even if Disney has to kidnap George Lucas and hold him until he writes the treatment of the script. But until the saga is told, we want to know what to expect from the new movie trilogy. Would you say that the Sequel Trilogy is non-canon, continue in spite of it, or turn the clock back to an earlier (and more removed) time in the galaxy’s largest family of dirty men?
