A fight between IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois and interim WBO champion Joseph Parker is scheduled for the heavyweight card of Riyadh Seaon on February 22. The fight is not yet official, but it is reportedly on the way.
Fresh off a fifth-round knockout of Anthony Joshua on September 21, Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) could be an interesting matchup with the 32-year-old Parker (35-3, 23 KOs).
This fight will show if the 27-year-old Dubois can handle a smart heavyweight who uses movement, angles, and short shorts to steal rounds. Parker has changed his style of fighting, becoming a smarter fighter since his loss to Joe Joyce in 2022.
Joyce will need to take the fight to Parker and fight hard for three minutes in each round to win twice. Parker’s last two opponents, Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder, failed to fight hard and allowed him to be overwhelmed.
Also scheduled for the February 22 card is a rematch of Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol, and the collision of Shakur Stevenson and Floyd Schofield. No fighting yet.
“The Dubois-Parker and Beterbiev-Bivol2 card is scheduled for Feb. 22 Riyadh Season card that will be absolutely packed,” Dan Rafael told X.
