Once upon a time, I bought an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Which worked well. Until one fateful day, when I wanted to add a second Amazon Prime account to my device so I could watch a movie my boyfriend had bought. And I couldn’t do it without having to unregister the device completely from my account.
I was so angry that I paid full price and then had the Roku Streaming Stick 4K delivered to my front porch that night. And I’m not going back. There’s a reason why this is our favorite casting rod.
Roku’s interface is easy to use, and you can customize the screensaver and home screen background. There are other ads around, but they are usually not very noticeable. It has volume buttons on the remote which are easy to find in the dark. It also has a ton of free channels where you can watch them all How It’s Made, Antiques Roadshowand other shows that don’t focus too much on gear. (What can I say? It’s a lifestyle.) This price comes within $5 of the lowest price we’ve seen. And perhaps best of all, you can log into any service with any darn account you like.
