Warriors Provide Update on Steph Curry’s Ankle Injury

The Warriors have revealed the condition of Steph Curry after he left the game with the Clippers yesterday and did not return.
Curry suffered a concussion in his left foot, the team announced Monday, and an MRI showed no damage.
The peroneal muscle is on the outside of the ankle behind the fibula bone.
The Golden State star will miss the Warriors’ back-to-back games against the Pelicans on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Chase Center and will be tested again on Friday.
Forward De’Anthony Melton was also injured in the same game, suffering from lower back pain and will be re-evaluated on Friday.
Of course, Steph has dealt with many ankle injuries in his career, but the fact that he is being tested again in the same week as the injury seems to be a good sign.
The 36-year-old player was injured in the second half of the Warriors’ 112-104 loss to the Clippers on Sunday night at the Chase Center.
He was injured late in the third quarter and returned to the game less than four minutes into the fourth quarter.
In his first game back, he was injured again and needed help getting back into the tunnel and into the locker room.

Even if it is for a short time, the absence of their offensive player presents a problem for the Warriors.
It puts a lot of pressure on other players and without Melton, that pressure increases.
However, when Steph left the court yesterday, Andrew Wiggins went up and scored 29 points, but the Warriors could not protect the W.
Before the loss, the Warriors were 2-0 to start the 2024-25 NBA season and were undefeated in the preseason.
