Virgin River Season 6 Ends With Mark Ghanime’s Exit as Cameron

Virgin River will head into season 7 – minus one character who has officially left the hit Netflix series.

After the sixth season was shown for the first time on Thursday, December 19, the runner Patrick Sean Smith he was asked about the actor Mark GhaniméHis future on the show as Cameron, he told exclusively Us Weekly“I love that relationship, and, I think this season has seen a little bit of capture for Cameron. As for Mark, my favorite character, unfortunately he won’t be back in season 7.”

Smith did not rule out a possible return in the future. “But that doesn’t mean Cameron isn’t part of our world forever,” he added. “I would like to bring him back, and bring his character back when the story unfolds.”

Ghanimé, 47, joined Virgin River in season 4 as a new face at Doc’s clinic and Mel’s love interest. Things worked out for Cameron and Mel quickly and he reconnected with Muriel but they had to break up when his former roommate reposted. Cameron and Muriel first called it quits in season 5, but she returned after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Elsewhere in the season, Mel (Alexandra Breckenridgeand Jack (Martin Henderson) eventually got married. The two are surprised, however, when a local girl asks Mel to take her baby.

“With Marley and that situation, we’re going to continue to see Mel and Jack go down their path to parenthood,” Smith explained. Us. “We live in the joy of newlyweds and the challenges that come with that as a new couple.”

He added: “I think the pace at which we are comfortable gives us a great opportunity to continue to tell many stories for many seasons to come.
