NetflixVirgin River will head into season 7 – minus one character who has officially left the hit Netflix series.
After the sixth season was shown for the first time on Thursday, December 19, the runner Patrick Sean Smith he was asked about the actor Mark GhaniméHis future on the show as Cameron, he told exclusively Us Weekly“I love that relationship, and, I think this season has seen a little bit of capture for Cameron. As for Mark, my favorite character, unfortunately he won’t be back in season 7.”
Smith did not rule out a possible return in the future. “But that doesn’t mean Cameron isn’t part of our world forever,” he added. “I would like to bring him back, and bring his character back when the story unfolds.”
Ghanimé, 47, joined Virgin River in season 4 as a new face at Doc’s clinic and Mel’s love interest. Things worked out for Cameron and Mel quickly and he reconnected with Muriel but they had to break up when his former roommate reposted. Cameron and Muriel first called it quits in season 5, but she returned after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Elsewhere in the season, Mel (Alexandra Breckenridgeand Jack (Martin Henderson) eventually got married. The two are surprised, however, when a local girl asks Mel to take her baby.

He added: “I think the pace at which we are comfortable gives us a great opportunity to continue to tell many stories for many seasons to come.
Virgin River focuses on the dramatic love lives of those who live in a small town, but the characters have found stable relationships in real life. There’s also a love triangle to worry about behind Brie’s exes (Zibby Allen) and Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) we slept together. Fans of the fictional couple didn’t get to see them ride off into the sunset, however, after they aired news of their infidelity to Brie’s boyfriend, Mike (Marco Grazzini). Instead, Mike chose to propose to her, which left Brie conflicted.
“A good love triangle is only as strong as the options it presents, and it’s impactful [Brie’s] choice can have an impact on his life,” Smith noted Us. “So I think what his future would look like with Brady compared to what it looks like with Mike. And I think that’s where it works best. “
Virgin River is currently streaming on Netflix and has already been renewed for a 7th season.
