Verizon shut down: ‘Service has begun to be restored’

It sounds like Monday’s Verizon service outage may be on the way.
The company took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the update on Monday afternoon. According to this newspaper, the mobile phone service has “started to be repaired” and the company apologizes for the disruption caused by the outage.

I can confirm that the disconnect was real, personally. My phone lost service at noon ET and didn’t come back until after 5pm
The Wi-Fi still worked the whole time, but if I wasn’t near the router, I couldn’t access data of any kind unless I used the iPhone’s SOS feature. That requires a clear view of the sky and I live in a city full of very tall buildings, so that wasn’t the best solution.
But according to Verizon, the outage problems should end soon.
