Two people were injured in Vancouver, the suspect was shot and killed
Police in the Canadian city of Vancouver said two people were stabbed and a suspect was shot dead by police.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning, when the police responded to a report of a knife-wielding man who had stolen alcohol from a restaurant.
Two people injured in this incident were rushed to the hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The police have not yet identified the deceased suspect.
In a statement, Vancouver Police said a caller “reported that a male had stolen alcohol and was armed with a knife” at a restaurant near the downtown library.
When the police arrived, they found an armed suspect inside a nearby store.
The suspect, who has not been identified, was then shot and taken into custody.
Police and first responders tried to help the suspect, who died at the hospital.
The incident is under investigation.
A video seen by the Canadian Press reportedly shows police firing on a luxury store and yelling “go away” as they aim their weapons.
Another video appears to show first responders performing chest compressions on the suspect.
