Trump’s launch: these companies are high on donations

President-elect Trump’s first fund has seen a number of donations from famous companies in recent weeks.

They came before the event in Jan. 20 to swear Trump into office as the 47th president of the United States and a number of events surrounding that event.

The industries the companies make their contributions to range from aerospace and tech to automotive and finance, among others.

Boeing told FOX Business that it is “pleased to continue Boeing’s bipartisan tradition of supporting US Presidential Inauguration Committees.”

“Google is excited to support the launch of 2025, with a live stream on YouTube and a direct link on our homepage,” Global Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy Karan Bhatia said in a statement to FOX Business. “We also contribute to the first committee.”

“The inauguration of a new president is a tradition that has been respected for a long time in America,” Toyota said. “Like many other companies, Toyota Motor North America is pleased to support the launch event, which demonstrates our deep and growing American presence.”

“As part of our decades-long commitment to bipartisan advocacy, Intuit will donate $1 million to the presidential nominating committee,” Intuit said in a statement to FOX Business. “Intuit is committed to ensuring that our customers’ voices are heard on important issues, and our increased participation in the democratic process reflects our growth as a company and the variety of policy issues that affect the nearly 100 million diverse consumers and businesses we serve.”

Here are some companies that make early fund contributions and how much they contribute.

In addition to the ride-hailing company’s contribution, Trump’s first fund also received $1 million from Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.

Ford – $1 million

Like Ford, General Motors also supports auto lubrication.

Intuit – $1 million

Delta Air Lines – $1 million

Bank of America confirmed to FOX Business that it made a donation to Trump’s inauguration without specifying the amount.

Meanwhile, his first fund is also receiving a donation from Goldman Sachs, according to a source familiar with the matter. That donation, the size of which was unclear, was previously reported by Reuters.

Donations to the business foundation fund are unusual, as companies such as Bank of America, Google, Microsoft have done so in pre-inauguration committees. In another example, Boeing made gifts of $ 1 million to the presidential inauguration committees in 2013, 2017 and 2021, according to the company.

Companies aren’t the only ones sending money to Trump’s inauguration committee on January 20.

FOX News Digital reported in mid-December that Sam Altman, CEO of ChatGPT maker OpenAI, had plans to donate. It is reported that this donation was worth one million dollars.

Another high-profile tech executive — Apple’s Tim Cook — has made an offer of that size, according to Axios. FOX Business has reached out to Apple for comment.

In all, more than $170 million went into Trump’s first fund, the New York Times reported last week.

The swearing-in of the president-elect is expected to take place on Monday at noon local time, and hundreds of thousands of people are expected to watch in person.

There will be several other events that day, including a parade and three balls after the opening. Events are also held on the Saturday and Sunday before it.
