Tracker Season 2 will feature Reenie ‘Without’ Justin Hartley’s Colter

Season 2 of Tracker it allows Fiona ReneReenie will grow up without his connection to her Justin Hartleyletter of, Colter.

“Obviously we’re building on Colter’s relationship and what he’s able to do. We are starting to see more of him. But with Reenie, we see who she is without Colter,” Renee, 36, told Exclusive. Us Weekly ahead of the new episode, which airs on Sunday, November 3.

Rene is excited to find out more about Reenie, adding, “Before, ‘Who are you? How was his relationship with her? Who was by his side? How could he help her?’ And even though all those things are still true, now we see Reenie. Who, and what is his life, and what interests him and where is he in his life?”

While the first season of Tracker needed to introduce everyone to their relationship with Colter, the hit CBS series is now airing.

“We only saw [Reenie] next to him. “Now you see him in his office – which he helped design – and we see his love life and we see his hobbies,” Rene teased. “I think we’d be really excited to see more of him as a person than just his relationship with her.”

Trackerwhich premiered in February, centers on survivor Colter who travels the country helping people and law enforcement solve various mysteries. He often gets help from the team around the country including his manager Velma (Abby McEnany), a shooter named Bobby (Eric Grise) and Reenie, who has been his lawyer for the past two seasons.

Reenie’s story started at the beginning of season 2 when she started her own law firm.

“I’m impressed with Reenie. I’m not Reenie and I’m trying hard to live up to her. I’ve been saying WWRD [What Would Reenie Do],” Rene joked Us. “To see her not only taking care of herself, taking care of the people she loves and building a business and trying to have a relationship — that’s what the world expects from a woman. It’s hard to do and you do it.”

He continued: “I’m interested to see if there are any cracks in the road and how to handle them. But it really impressed me. I think with the new firm, it’s given him a new sense of confidence that he doesn’t have to answer to anyone in terms of what’s an important case and what’s not. We will see more of that in the future.”

The switch also allowed Reenie to share more of the screen with Velma. Rene hopes that as Tracker continues, there will be more opportunities for everyone in Colter’s life to spend more time together.

“Even though Colter is alone in the wild, our love for him unites us and our love for what he does unites us,” he said. Us. “This concept of tracking has become Colter’s child, we are all trying to take care of it. So I think it brings Velma, Bobby and Reenie so close that it would be silly not to see that. [more].”

After Tracker’s success on CBS, the series got a longer season with 22 episodes instead of 13. This led to more episodes where Colter meets his team – starting with Sunday’s episodes. According to the synopsis, Reenie gets Colter to take on a case involving a missing woman at a senior health facility.

Rene previewed an episode of Us — and teased how the case allowed Reenie to get more involved, saying, “Reenie likes to surprise herself. In episode 4, she gets on her hands and knees in the dirt [to help] and it’s like, ‘Oh, OK. I can do this and I can do it in heels.’ That makes her feel confident and beautiful and strong. So I would like to be able to see him perform [that more].”

Bringing Reenie to life over the past two seasons has made Rene central to the character’s future.

“I would like to see him live a full life and I would like to see where his weaknesses are. I would like to see who he relies on every time he has a problem and when he is out of control,” said Rene. Us. “And I would like to see him fall and get up again. That’s what I want to see in him.”

Tracker airs Sundays on CBS at 8 pm ET. New episodes air the next day on Paramount+.
