The two met in 2001 at the Summer X games in Philadelphia. After reconciling following a brief breakup in 2003, Pink proposed to Hart in 2005 while the motocross racer was competing in the Pro 250 class finals in Mammoth, California. They tied the knot in Costa Rica in 2006.
The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer revealed in 2008 that the couple separated after two years of marriage. Their breakup inspired his songs “So What,” “Mean,” “I Don’t Believe You” and “Please Don’t Leave Me,” all from him. A house of pleasure album that year.
The two eventually found their way back to each other, as Pink confirmed their reconciliation in February 2010. Almost eight years later, she revealed their painful past while reminiscing about their 12 years together on Instagram. “We have been married for 12 years today. 16 if you count the 4 years we spent deciding if we were going to be together forever or kill each other,” she captioned a collection of photos of the couple from years past in January 2018. “It’s been a good mix of these since. Get young and train women. I still love you @hartluck.”
Pink and Hart are now parents to daughter Willow, born in 2011, and son Jameson, born in 2016.
The Grammy winner previously opened up about how parenting alongside Hart has “changed” her for the better. “I am very open. I am very accepting of myself. I think a lot,” he said Carson Daly to Today in 2019. “I’m planning more. You have to. I have to find a balance.”
He added, “I think a lot about the world and what we leave for these children and the way we are headed so I think it changes your music, but I don’t write songs for my children because I feel like the best ones have already been written.”
