‘The View’ host promises to ‘wear MAGA hat’ if Trump gets Hamas to release hostages
The View host Alyssa Farah Griffin said she will wear a MAGA hat for every episode of the show if President-elect Donald Trump can get Hamas to release its hostages.
Griffin’s suggestion came as the female hosts discussed Trump’s appearance at the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral. After a catastrophic fire in 2019, Notre Dame Cathedral in France hosted its first Mass on Sunday, filling the space with a crowd for the first time in nearly five years. Sunday’s Mass followed the cathedral’s opening ceremony, which took place on Saturday and was attended by Trump, first lady Jill Biden, Prince William and other celebrities.
Photos of Trump and the first lady sharing delicacies at the event went viral, with the incoming president using one of them to promote his new perfume line.
“Here are my new Trump Perfumes & Colognes! I call them Fight, Fight, Fight, because they represent us WINNING,” Trump wrote in a post on his social media site, Truth Social. “A fragrance your enemies can’t resist,” reads the tag line.
The co-hosts of “The View” are divided over the messages and photos of Trump and the first lady, and whether the relationship is as good as it seems.

Sara Hines, who hosts the show, warned that there may be more going on behind the scenes.
“There are two pictures I took of the same thing where you look – it doesn’t look good, there might be more going on,” he said.
However, Griffin asserted that this image is something that reassures not only America and its allies, but warns its enemies around the world that the republic remains united.

He then pressed his point and made a proposal that quickly received backlash.
“My point is when I say I’m not going to be apocalyptic, it doesn’t change the tone. It doesn’t make everything a hot fire. If he does good — if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise you to wear a MAGA hat one day on the show and say, ‘Thank you for doing it,'” ,” Griffin said.
“Please don’t do that,” said one of his bosses sounding annoyed.
“You’ll get it out of my head,” Griffin joked, before arguing, “You’ve got to be able to enjoy a win when it happens, and call out evil non-stop.”
Griffin worked for Trump during his first administration as White House communications director before resigning in December 2020. Since joining “The View,” he has been a vocal critic of Trump, often warning of the dangers he poses to the country.
