The Trump-Vance ticket has included 54 interviews since last month compared to 14 for Harris-Walz.

Former President Trump and his colleague, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, has sat down for at least 54 interviews since the establishment of the Harris-Walz ticket, compared to 14 unrecorded interviews for the Democratic presidential ticket so far.

After weeks of avoiding interviews, Vice President Kamala Harris has increased her visibility in recent days, sitting in a digital video interview with Wired on Wednesday, her campaign announced. He also spoke to a Spanish broadcaster and the National Association of Black Journalists this week.

Harris spoke with Action News 6 ABC on Friday in Philadelphia, which comes after a report that his campaign wants him to do more local interviews in hot states like Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, Trump spoke with supporter Elon Musk in his first interview since Sunday’s assassination attempt, and sat down for an interview with Fox News contributor and Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen.

Vance has done a number of interviews since the Harris-Walz ticket was launched on August 6, including three more Sunday game appearances last weekend and interviews with CNN, Fox News and ABC after last week’s ABC News presidential debate between Trump and Harris . .

Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has started doing local interviews, speaking to Macon, Ga., station WMAZ on Tuesday. He spoke to MSNBC and ABC after last week’s debate, and was interviewed by Michigan station Fox 17 on Friday.

Harris also recorded two radio interviews earlier this month with Uforia, TelevisaUnivision’s audio network, and Rickey Smiley, host of the nationally syndicated “Rickey Smiley Show.”

Walz also spoke earlier this month with WCMU radio in Michigan, in addition to speaking on “The Morning News with Nancy Kman and Jason Barsky” on WILK in Pennsylvania, and “The Chad Holmes Show” on WXCO in Wisconsin.

Harris and Walz ended their extended interview drought last month when they spoke with CNN’s Dana Bash in Georgia, after weeks of teasing the media.

Since Aug. 6, when the Harris-Walz ticket was formed, Trump has spoken to, among others, Fox News, NBC News, the Daily Mail, Hugh Hewitt, the New York Post and local outlets such as -WBRE News Wilkes-Barre and WLOS. News 13 Asheville, with podcaster Lex Fridman.

Vance has appeared on Fox News, NBC News, CBS News, ABC News, CNBC and CNN, in addition to numerous podcasts.

Harris still hasn’t held an official press conference since taking over from President Biden as the Democratic nominee. Trump took questions at a news conference last week in California, his third extended press conference in recent weeks.
