‘The Social Network’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

In the years before Facebook became more than a lightning rod for criticism, social media and its founder. Mark Zuckerberg it was the subject of a 2010 film Social Network.
Jesse Eisenberg was cast as Zuckerberg in the film, on which it was based Accidental Billionaires2009 book by Ben Mezrich. The project followed Zuckerberg as he created Facebook and the lawsuits that went along with it.
The Social Network won Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score and Best Film Editing at the 2011 Academy Awards. The film’s eight Oscar wins include Best Picture and Best Actor for Eisenberg. The 2011 Golden Globe Awards handed out awards for Best Motion Picture — Drama, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score as well.
Despite critical acclaim, the film received criticism from the businessman who inspired it. Zuckerberg said that some aspects of the film were made up and revealed that he met Eisenberg once while filming Saturday Night Live.
“So you can imagine a lot of things that they had to decorate and do,” he said. “If they were actually making a movie, it would have been me, sitting at the computer coding for two hours straight, which probably wouldn’t have been a good movie and these guys, I think, want to win awards and sell tickets.”
