The Perfect Couple Season 2 is in talks without Eve Hewson

Nicole Kidman is considering a second season of The Perfect Couple — but that doesn’t mean everyone will come back.

During the interview no Byrdiereleased on Wednesday, November 13, Eve Hewson she explained why she couldn’t see herself resuming Amelia’s role.

“I heard that Nicole was toying with the idea of ​​a season 2,” revealed Hewson, 33. “I mean I would work with them all again in a heartbeat. Some of them are my best friends. I just don’t know how Amelia will fit into another season.”

Hewson hoped that his character was “just trying to have a peaceful life” after the events of season 1.

“Everyone was like, what do you think? Do you think she had lunch with Greer?” Hewson said, referring to the show’s final scene between Hewson’s and Kidman’s actors. “No, I think Amelia went through a terrible situation with this family. One of the family members killed her best friend. I think she lives in London, sitting with the penguin, trying to keep going.”

The Perfect Couplewhich premiered in September on Netflix, told the story of a wedding weekend that was upended when a body was found on the beach. The first series revealed that the bride’s (Hewson) maid of honor, Merritt (Meghann Fahy), a person was killed. It wasn’t until the end that fans found out who was responsible, Dakota Fanningit’s Abby.

While Hewson is unsure of Amelia’s future on the show, her costar (and on-screen love interest) Ishaan Khatter he did not issue a refund.

“We had a great idea with the writing and the finale of the show that it ends up going up in flames,” said Khatter, 28, who played Shooter. Us Weekly in September about the possibility of more episodes. “But I think it depends on the audience.”

Khatter noted that season two will allow fans to see Shooter and Amelia “end up together,” adding, “Working with Eve has been one of the most fun parts of doing this show. He’s incredibly talented and brings many gifts as an actor – but he’s also extremely hard-working and natural.

He continued: “I really enjoyed working with him because there was no need for a lot of discussion and there was no need to think a lot or concentrate on the text.”

According to Khatter, working with Hewson on the chemistry between Shooter and Amelia was easy.

“Just being there with him allowed us to find chemistry. [Director] Susanne Bier he’s amazing and has a unique and detailed perspective on the whole thing,” the actor explained. “She was very adamant that we find that tension and chemistry that we can hold on to throughout the show. It would be difficult to sustain more than six episodes. But I think there is no better director than Susanne who can see that opportunity and use it the way she did.”
