The new Holland America is sailing to Asia and Australia
Are you looking for an out-of-the-ordinary cruise around the world? Holland America Line has just announced some epic new routes that you need to book.
Holland America has released details of its new Legendary Voyages, which will take passengers to Asia and the region of Australia and New Zealand on itineraries ranging from 28 to 35 nights. The line will also offer a bundled “Collector’s Cruise” that will allow guests to experience the best of the two regions on cruises of up to 68 nights.
The two ships – Noordam and Westerdam – will offer travelers the opportunity to sail to more than 50 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park and the Krakatoa volcano, located between the islands of Java and Sumatra in Indonesia.
The trip will also include a few overnight stays and late night travel in cities such as Shanghai, China; Osaka and Hiroshima, Japan; Laem Chabang (port of Bangkok), Thailand; Bali, Indonesia; Fremantle (port of Perth), Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne, Australia; Tahiti in French Polynesia; and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Australia and New Zealand cruises
On Oct. 11, 2026, the first of two legendary South Pacific Crossing voyages will set sail on Holland America’s Noordam. This 33-night cruise will sail from Seattle to Sydney, Australia, eliminating the need for a connecting flight if you live on the US West Coast. Passengers can expect to visit the islands of Hawaii, French Polynesia (including an overnight stay in Tahiti), New Zealand and more. Prices for this trip start from $4,354 per person in a cabin.
On March 25, 2027, at the end of the season, cruisers can embark on the second Legendary South Pacific Crossing, a 28-night voyage from Sydney to Seattle. As a first stop, it can eliminate the need for a return flight if you live near Seattle. Highlights include visiting three ports in Fiji, and an overnight stay in Honolulu. Fares start at $5,584 per person in an inside cabin.
In between is HAL’s 35-night Legendary Australia Circumnavigation, departing Nov. 15, 2026. This tour offers tours throughout the country, including the hard-to-reach West Coast, and accommodations in Hobart and Fremantle (Perth harbor). It also includes calls at four ports in Papua New Guinea. Cruisers can hold an interior cabin from $7,749 per person.
“The 35-day Legendary Australia Circumnavigation is one of our most in-depth explorations of Australia,” said Paul Grigsby, Holland America’s vice president of financial planning and analysis, in a statement, citing opportunities for visitors to see kangaroos, koalas and other wildlife. famous.

For the rest of the season, Noordam will be sailing one 14-night voyage between Auckland in New Zealand and Sydney, each visiting eight ports and featuring sailing in Milford Sound and Fiordland National Park in New Zealand. Low-cost trips from Jan. 3, 2027; passengers can book an inside cabin from $2,219 per person.
Asia by ship
Aboard the Westerdam, passengers can embark on a 28-night Legendary Coral Triangle and Great Barrier Reef cruise, starting Jan. 3, 2027, round trip from Singapore, and visit the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia. It also includes two days of scenic sailing along Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, an overnight call in Bali, Indonesia, and opportunities to explore the Krakatoa Volcano. Interior cabins start at $6,339 per person.
Among the short Westerdam cruise options for the 2026-27 season are Circle Japan’s 13- and 14-night cruises from Tokyo, a 14-night discovery cruise of Japan and South Korea ( including the ship’s first visit to Yeosu port) and several 14. -Far East Discovery nights traveling one way between Hong Kong and Singapore. A 14-night cruise from Hong Kong visits the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan. A Collector’s Journey
Passengers wishing to experience the best of these regions can choose one of the Collectors’ Voyages, which combine multiple sailings into even longer voyages, giving guests access to multiple ports in one vacation. A combined sailing trip will accommodate passengers for 28 to 68 nights, depending on the specific sailing chosen.
Examples include the 28-night Circle Japan Collector cruise, departing March 28, 2027, on the Westerdam, from Tokyo to Yokohama in Japan. The trip features a late night departure from Hiroshima and visits to two ports in South Korea. This cruise starts at $5,249 per person for an inside cabin.
Passengers can also combine two Legends Cruises into one Collector’s Cruise if they choose a 68-night combination from Oct. 11, 2026, from Seattle to Sydney on the Noordam. This trip starts on Tuesday with the Legendary South Pacific Crossings, followed by Australia circumnavigation; can be booked from $9,364 per person in an inside cabin.
