The Japanese ambassador to India rides the Delhi Metro

Ono Keiichi, Ambassador of Japan to India on Friday visited the Delhi Metro system and traveled from Central Secretariat to Chawri Bazar. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, in a statement said that Keiichi has shown keen interest in various operational facilities in the Delhi Metro and was accompanied by Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC.

“Ono Keiichi, Ambassador of Japan to India, today visited the Delhi Metro system and was accompanied by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC on his journey on the Metro from Central Secretariat to Chawri Bazaar,” the statement said. of DMRC.

“During his visit, His Highness showed great interest in various operational facilities including dedicated coaches for all women trains, CCTV surveillance, driverless trains etc. besides asking about the ongoing work of Phase-4 on different corridors. He praised DMRC for its excellent work. and explained Delhi Metro project as an amazing collaboration between India and Japan.

The trip ended with a visit to the Patel Chowk Metro Museum. The Delhi Metro Project is a symbol of Indo-Japanese cooperation and the Government of Japan (Japan International Cooperation Agency) has largely funded the Delhi Metro Projects from the beginning and is funding Phase IV of the project,” the statement added.

Yesterday, the ambassador congratulated Indian chess star D Gukesh after he was recognized as the International Chess Federation (FIDE) world champion.

Earlier on Wednesday, Keiichi attended Rising Rajasthan, the Global Investment Summit.

“We talked about the contributions of Japanese companies to Rajasthan and future prospects at the Japan Session of Rising Rajasthan. We also expressed our gratitude for the support of the Rajasthan government to Japanese companies.”

Keiichi also met Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on the occasion.

“We were honored to meet Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Honorable Minister of Rajasthan. We had fruitful discussions on further strengthening the economic cooperation between Japan and Rajasthan,” said Keiichi in the X post.
