The husband jumps on the bear that has surprised the wife: the police
A Canadian man jumped to his wife’s defense after a polar bear lunged at him during a car chase in rural Ontario.
According to the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, the unknown couple left their house around 05:00 on Tuesday to look for their dogs.
They were met by a ravenous bear on their road, and it attacked the woman.

Police said the speeding man jumped on the mammal to avoid the attack.
“The woman slipped and fell to the ground when her husband jumped[ed] “The bear then attacked the male, seriously injuring him but not endangering his life in his arms and legs.”

A neighbor came with a gun and shot the bear several times. After being shot, it went back to the nearby forest where it died.

The suspect was taken to a community nursing station, where he was treated for his injuries, police said.
Police said they “continued to patrol the area to ensure there were no more bears roaming the community.”
