The Google Pixel 8A is a killer deal at $399
For someone who wants to spend completely at least phone and you don’t have to think about buying another for a long time, I will always recommend the Google Pixel series phone. That’s doubly true now with the Pixel 8A at $100 off for the Black Friday-ish Cyber Shopping Holiday and whatever else we’re dealing with right now. The 8A is a solid value at its full price of $499, and marked down to $399 is a ridiculously good deal.
Here’s the starter: Google promises to update the Pixel 8A with OS version upgrades and security releases via May 2031. That means you can expect it to run Android 21. If you bought the 8A now for $400 and owned it for six years, that works out to $66 a year. You will have to use a $1000 flagship phone 15 years for the same ROI. Do you see? Make money with Pixel 8A.
More importantly, the 8A is the kind of phone I recommend to friends and family who don’t mind luxury and don’t want the hassle of buying a new one every few years. Seriously: my mom has a 7A and my dad has an 8A.
A $400 phone is also more affordable than a flagship phone, Pixel or otherwise. If you don’t want to be seen in the terms of a wireless carrier’s promotion for a “free” phone, the Pixel 8A is a great deal — no strings attached.
