The football community is rallying behind NFL legend Randy Moss after revealing his cancer diagnosis
The football community met NFL legend Randy Moss after the former cancer survivor announced his cancer diagnosis, during a live stream on Instagram on Friday.
Moss said he spent six days in the hospital undergoing surgery. The former Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots wide receiver said doctors found cancer in his bile duct, “between the pancreas and the liver.”
“I’m a cancer survivor,” Moss said. “Some trying times, but we succeeded.”

Moss’ former teammates and teams have sent statements on social media in support of the former radio host.
“Strength in human form. We’re all with you 81. Love ya bubs,” former Patriots linebacker Julian Edelman wrote.

“I love you Randy. Dominating the competition is what you’ve always done and you’ll do it again! You’ve earned this!” Rob Gronkowski posted.
Moss left his role as an analyst for ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” on Dec. 6.
“As soon as I’m fit enough to get back together with the boys, I’ll be ready. . . . I hope to be with you soon,” said Moss.

“My goal is to return to television with my team.”
The Pro Football Hall of Famer played 14 seasons in the NFL and is second in all-time receiving yards for the Vikings with 9,316 yards.
The six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro will turn 48 in February.
