The CoA is appointed to the Asian governing body

The Philippine Commission on Audit (CoA) has been voted as a member of the Governing Board of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in New Delhi, India.
16th The ASOSAI meeting gathered key representatives from across Asia to discuss key research issues and set the direction for the organization. ASOSAI is an important regional organization under the International Organization for Advanced Study (INTOSAI).
Established in 1979 with 11 members, ASOSAI has grown to include 47 audit institutes (SAIs) from across Asia.
CoA Commissioner Roland Café Pondoc, who led the Philippine delegation to the Assembly, said that the election as a member of ASOSAI GB is one of the highlights of the Council, which includes filling the seven vacant GB positions.
Other countries nominated for GB and the Philippines were Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The CoA’s participation in the ASOSAI Meeting demonstrates its dedication and commitment to raising international auditing standards and promoting collaboration.
The CoA also serves as the current Chair of the ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) and the INTOSAI Working Group on Public Debt.
