Taylor Swift’s Sweetest ’22’ Hat Moments on ‘The Eras Tour’

During Swift’s record-breaking tour, which began in March 2023, fans experienced many unforgettable moments, from sharing friendship rings to seeing Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelceget on the stage. Some of the most magical collaborations, however, come in Swift’s time Red she set when she chose one lucky fan to receive the black hat she wore with her outfit.
One such moment involved 9-year-old Julissa Vargas, who told NBC San Diego in May that she thought she was being led “to the exit” before standing “in front of the stage” during The Eras Tour exhibition in Paris.
“And finally I saw what was going on,” Julissa recalled. “I felt a part there [Taylor] he says, ‘Can I hug you?’ and he said, ‘Thank you for coming.'”
Showing off her once-in-a-lifetime keepsake, Julissa celebrated, “This is the hat she gave me, and it’s signed on the inside.”

February 23
During a show in Sydney, Swift gave the coveted “22” hat to Scarlett Oliver, a 9-year-old fan battling cancer. Scarlett’s mother, Nataliehe had previously shared Scarlett’s desire to meet the star.
“Scarlett is a 9-year-old from Perth, and was diagnosed in October last year with high-grade glioma – this is an aggressive and incurable brain cancer,” she wrote on Swift’s fan site before the concert.
Natalie, who revealed that Scarlett was given a prognosis of “12-18 months from diagnosis,” added that “Scarlett is very happy and would really like to get the 22nd hat from Taylor (as everyone else I’m sure).”
When the “Love Story” singer approached the Sydney girl during the performance, Scarlett was overjoyed as they embraced.
May 9
When Swift kicks his European leg The Eras Tour at the París La Défense Arena, Julissa stole the show for a moment when she found a “22” hat at the edge of the stage.
“I don’t know, it was one of the best moments of my life,” Julissa told NBC San Diego the following week. “And he gave me a high-five with both his hands.
Julissa added, “I still can’t believe it happened to me. I see YouTube shorts and I’m like, ‘Me?’ … I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”
May 29
During her first two performances in Madrid, Swift broke away from the “22” dancers on stage and went to a little boy in the audience. As she smiled and jumped up and down, Swift gave her a hat and mouthed the words “I love you.”
June 18
A little girl at the Principality Stadium in Wales got lucky when she was caught wearing a shirt similar to Swift’s at the time Red set, which rotates each night. Both Swift and the young fan had the words “Not Much Going On Right Now” on their T-shirts.
Swift, who didn’t realize they were dating at first, pulled up her shirt to admit it had happened, much to the audience’s delight. He then gives the girl high notes before resuming his song.
July 4th
In Amsterdam, Swift gave a fan and one of her family members the joy of their lives when she acknowledged them both during “22.”
The fan, a little girl, was seen wide-eyed on the stadium’s video board as she sang and danced along to the lyrics, looking very happy as Swift approached. The two embraced before Swift leaned across the stage to give a high-five to one of the girl’s family members. He then tipped his hat to the fan, and the two exchanged two high-fives.
July 23
Lucia Nova Hugelmeyer received a hat trick during the game The Eras Tour stop in Hamburg, Germany. “It felt like a dream,” Lucia told the newspaper News and Spectator. “I mean, it was magic.”
August 20
The last European “22” hat went to a young fan wearing the blue jersey with the number 89.
November 2
During her second show in Indianapolis, Swift came face-to-face with a young Swiftie named Eloise. Back in 2017, Swift went on Instagram Live where Eloise’s mother, Swiftie was named. Cindyhe introduced his fans to his baby girl.
“ELOISE,” Swift commented during the live stream, much to Cindy’s surprise. “He’s a little baby and I’m totally going to meet him and A when they’re not 3 months old and try to GET REST.”
Seven years later, Swift got to present Eloise with the iconic “22” hat The Eras TourUS leg. “Last time I saw you, you were a little baby,” Swift appeared to tell Eloise in photos shared on social media.
