Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran meets Maharashtra CM Fadnavis, discusses growth and economic goals
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the latter’s residence in Mumbai.
Chandrasekaran congratulated the chief minister and expressed confidence in his long-term relationship with the Maharashtra government.
“We discussed various ways to accelerate Maharashtra’s growth,” CM Fadnavis wrote in a post on X.
“As the Chairman of the Maharastra Economic Advisory Council, his work and that of the top 20 officials of Maharashtra resulted in a report presented last year. This report will be an important help as we start the economic goal of 1 Trillion Dollar. for the State,” added the CM.
Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time recently. Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde were also sworn in.
The 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections saw a decisive victory for the Mahayuti-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition, securing a landslide victory with 235 seats.
The results marked a milestone for the BJP, which emerged as the largest party with as many as 132 seats.
The Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party also made significant gains, with 57 and 41 seats, respectively.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) faced huge difficulties as the Congress won only 16 seats. Its ally, Shiv Sena (UBT), won 20 seats, while NCP (Sharad Pawar’s party) got only 10 seats. (NO)
