The singer and songwriter (real name Solána Imani Rowe) shared her excitement about the release of the film before the vow of silence began in an Instagram post on Friday, January 17.
“Man, listen. I am in India and they are going to take my phone in 7 hours and do a 10 day vow of silence😭 , but I WILL NOT MISS RELEASE DAY !!” SZA, 35, wrote. “I swear to God this was the most unique experience of my entire life!”
It refers to his producer Issa Rae and a costar Keke PalmerSZA added, “When I signed up for this movie I couldn’t think of anything other than ‘gaddamn I love Issa and Keke it’s awesome.’ I didn’t think about how busy I was on tour and I couldn’t practice or prepare, I didn’t think I had a deluxe to complete or contribute when I actually have to be on camera at any moment 😂😭 (like duh, dummy.) That sounds crazy but that’s how I like to respect and appreciate them these women!! NO JUST OPINIONS YES.”

SZA went on to praise the entire team involved, reiterating how hard they work to achieve the finished product.
