Host of Varney & Co. Stuart Varney says Elon Musks test flight of his Starship rocket opens the door to a new era of space exploration.
During “My Take,” Monday, “Varney & Co.” host Stuart Varney discussed the importance of Elon Musk’s historic test flight of his massive Starship rocket from the SpaceX launch pad in Boca, Chica, Texas.
STUART VARNEY: The most important space development since the 1960s and Elon Musk did it.
On the weekend, a A SpaceX rockettwice the size of the Saturn Five that took the Apollo astronauts to the moon, blasted off from Texas.

It went to the edge of space, bigger than a 747 and traveling at the speed of sound.

Then, using only three of its 33 engines, it returned to the ideal launch pad.
A reusable booster, capable of loading a large payload into space time after time.
Later, the Starship itself landed with precision in the Indian Ocean.

This means that within this decade, a reusable spacecraft that carries heaven knows what, will be taking off and landing.
Musk has an idea to use it to colonize Mars.
OK, that’s a long shot, but the weekend’s successful launch opens the door to a new era of space exploration.
And, of course Elon Musk who took it out.

Is there any doubt that he is a prominent person in business and science in this era?
Who else has the drive and ability to build the most important car company in the world, i An AI companyNeuralink, harnessing the power of computing directly into the human brain, and beyond that, SpaceX’s extraordinary Starship launch.
Two points.
First of all, this is all private business. The government got out of the way. Kamala Harris is not a private business type of person.

Second, Musk spent his money. Granted, he’s the richest man in the world, and he has a lot, but he’s never been afraid to take risks to pursue his vision.
Kamala Harris has a plan to demolish a private fortune. It’s called consumption.
SpaceX is successfully testing the devices, the eponymous sticks and Mechazilla arms with fans, to hold a usable booster on Sunday. (Reuters)
We thank heaven that he has not contributed to his creative millions.
If Trump wins, he plans to put Musk in charge of ripping up waste and fraud in the federal bureaucracy. It has been tried before, but not with a man like Musk.
If he can change the cars and the place, he can surely do wonders in Washington.
