Stuart Varney: Biden-Harris wants critics to ‘shut up’ about their storm response
Host of Varney & Co. Stuart Varney responded to JD Vance’s criticism of the Biden-Harris administration’s slow response to Hurricane Helene.
During “My Take,” Thursday, “Varney & Co.” host Stuart Varney responded to JD Vance criticizing the Biden-Harris administration’s response to Hurricane Helene and the pooling of FEMA aid money to help shelter immigrants.
STUART VARNEY: Donald Trump’s The vice president-elect, JD Vance, told the Biden-Harris team to “get its act together” with the storms.
In a candid commentary in the Wall Street Journal, Vance was critical. He pointed out that Biden, Harris and Mayorkas were late getting to work when Helene arrived.

He was right. All were not in the office, although they had many warnings that disaster was on the way.

Vance pointed out that the arrival of troops in remote areas of North Carolina was delayed by a week.
Vance also said, and this is important, “under Biden and Harris“FEMA has sent millions of dollars to non-governmental organizations whose mission is to facilitate immigration to the US.”
In other words, the deficit has actually gone to immigrants.

Mayorkas directed FEMA to become part of the shelter effort the migrants.
Last year, the director said that FEMA would support “immigrant care authorities.”
All of these are accurate criticisms of the hurricane response, but Biden and Harris reacted with anger, and used harsh language.
National Border Patrol Council Chris Cabrera responded to the Biden-Harris White House’s alleged mismanagement of FEMA on The Evening Edit.
BIDEN: “These lies are not American. They have no place. Former President Trump has led this onslaught of lies.”
HARRIS: “I have spoken to local officials, they are doing an extraordinary job trying to fight misinformation. It is dangerous. It is reckless for anyone who would consider himself a leader to mislead desperate people.”
MALLORCA: “There’s a lot of false information being spread. We can’t have people relying on that false information.”
BUTIGIEG: “Of course this happens when there is misinformation, or scams, but we’ve never seen anything like what we’ve had at this level.”

Looking old and tired, the president lost control. What he wants is for the critics to shut up.
