Star Trek: The Lower Decks had a big finale this week, and during the show’s finale, they fixed one of the worst problems Star Trek has ever had. That problem is called a name Star Trek: Discoveryand thankfully, it’s no longer part of the official Star Trek canon timeline.
Lower Decks has been taking full advantage of its animated format to address some of the franchise’s lingering questions and biggest flaws. They fixed many things, but one thing that seemed impossible to smooth was the road Star Trek: Discovery it trashed the entire Star Trek universe.
Damage Recovery Made in Star Trek
For those who have forgotten, when Star Trek: Discovery for the first time, the show was in the past for the first few seasons. It takes place in the time between Archer’s Enterprise and Kirk’s Enterprise and begins with the start of the war with the Klingons.

How Star Trek: The Lower Decks Removed Availability from Canon
Paramount has been clear since the game’s debut that, although animated, Star Trek: The Lower Decks it is full canon and takes place in the main timeline of the Star Trek universe. So, what happened to Lower Decks it’s not fan fiction or another universe.
At the end of the show, a group of Klingon ships encounter something that turns things into versions of themselves. When a Klingon ship hits one of those transformation rays, it transforms into a big, bad one Finding-style A Klingon ship.

This would not have happened if those were strange Adoption The Klingons once existed in the main Star Trek timeline. It means that Adoption and its Klingons, like the JJ Abrams Star Trek movies, take place in another universe. One that has nothing to do with all of Star Trek.
Strange New Worlds is Still the Main Timeline
You may be wondering what this means Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and exists in that universe since the series became a spinoff Adoption. Fortunately, the answer is absolutely no.
The only Klingons we’ve ever seen of them Strange New Worlds they look exactly like the Klingons we are used to seeing since Worf stepped on the bridge The Next Generation. There has never been a solid explanation for why they look so different in Adoption Klingons, but now we have it.
The Enterprise we saw in it Star Trek: Discovery it is not the same as the one we are after Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. That previous Enterprise (which, by the way, looks a little different than the ongoing one Strange New Worlds) is trapped by having ongoing adventures in another parallel reality Star Trek: Discovery it happened on.
