Southwest Airlines launched a great sale during Cyber Monday. Southwest is offering up to 30% off flights throughout the continental US, as well as Puerto Rico and Hawaii, among other destinations. International routes are also eligible.
Use code “CYBERSALE” through Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, with 30% off travel through March 5, 2025, on domestic routes and through May 22, 2025, to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and international destinations.
The basics of the deal

- How to book: Directly with Southwest Airlines using promo code “CYBERSALE”
- Travel dates: Jan. 7, 2025, to March 5, 2025, or May 22, 2025, depending on route
- Book by: Thursday at 11:59 pm PST
- Closing dates: Varies by route
Sample flights
Use Southwest’s Low Fare Calendar with a promo code to search for your preferred route. I did a quick search for flights from California to Hawaii. I can’t say there were a ton of deals available, but I did find a few days with discounts using cash or Southwest Rapid Rewards points. Here is the fare calendar for January and February flights from Long Beach to Maui. You’ll save about $126 on this round-trip flight that comes to about $356.
You can book that discounted flight with points, too. A round-trip flight that would normally cost you around 35,000 Instant Rewards points can be had during the sale for 24,395 Instant Rewards points plus $11.20 in taxes and fees.
Here is another example of a flight from Oakland to Honolulu. You can book round-trip flights with as few points as 23,231 instant rewards or $351.89.

Bottom line
This sale applies to both cash and points bookings on Southwest flights and is valid for travel in early March in the continental US and most of May for Puerto Rico, Hawaii and international travel. Book by Thursday to save.
