Southern Charm’s Leva Teases Conflict Taylor and The Bachelor’s Salley

“Looks like he’s serious about Taylor,” Leva, 45, said to himself Us Weekly Thursday, December 5.
The reality star noted that Salley – who fans may remember from season 26 Bachelor — stirred the pot when he joined Southern Hospitality for season 2 last year. (In addition to Southern Charm, Leva stars in a spinoff show, which follows the lives of her employees at the Republic Garden and Lounge in Charleston.)
“Salley, I knew him from working in the front [at Republic] and I said, ‘Oh, is this a beautiful girl,'” Leva recalled, noting that things turned sour when Salley, 29, began dating an employee. Joe Bradley.

US WeeklyLeva recalled “a lot of drama” that followed Salley and Joe’s brief romance. “I was like, ‘Let’s get him out of here.’ Not that he was fired or anything,” he continued. “I was like, ‘It’s not for me here.'”
Salley continued to make a name for herself in season 2 of Southern Hospitality when he kissed Gaston Rojas before going with Joe – then he lied about it. Joe compared Salley’s actions to an “af—ing serial killer move,” which quickly ended their relationship.
Salley continued dating Gaston after the incident, but they broke up. Taylor, 30, is featured exclusively in her Us in October 2023 that Gaston is now her boyfriend, which will cause tension between the women Southern Charmpremiered on Thursday.

“I think she’s like that girl who says she doesn’t want drama, but she lives in drama,” said Leva. Us of Salley. “I’m like, ‘Well, you should make a different choice if you don’t want drama.’
The merchant teased that Salley and Taylor’s feud goes back even before Taylor started seeing Gaston. Leva recalled Taylor coming to an event at Republic when she was dating “the other guy that Salley is now dating.”
At the time, Leva told Taylor, “I was like, ‘That guy’s drama.’ He’s like, ‘No, he looks really good.’ And then Salley comes in to talk to Joe and Taylor comes up to me and she’s like, ‘You know that girl slept with him. Shep [Rose]?’ And I was like, ‘Joe’s girlfriend?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, you did.’
Leva explained that there is “a lot” between Salley and Taylor, who are in love with Salley sleeping with Taylor’s current boyfriend, Shep. (Taylor and Shep, 44, split in the summer of 2022 after two years.)
Southern Charm fans will learn more about Salley’s new man — the one Taylor first met — this season. “They’re just salespeople,” Leva said with a laugh, noting that Salley’s relationship with Taylor was “inevitable.”
Leva added that although she had “doubts” that Gaston was dating Taylor because of his past as a womanizer, she admitted, “I’ve never heard anything bad except for Salley who also dated him for a long time.”

Madison LeCroy only dished to Us about Taylor and Salley’s drama, saying, “Salley is definitely set up for Taylor.”
He teased earlier this month that the rift stems from Salley “trying to warn Taylor, but Taylor’s not taking it,” apparently referring to Gaston.

Taylor agreed Us that he’s doing well with Salley this season – but it doesn’t hurt his relationship.
“I met him briefly in the crowd,” Taylor recalled earlier this month. “So having someone I don’t really know coming in and trying to ruffle everyone’s feathers really frustrated me.”
She noted that she kept the drama “separate” from her romance with Gaston, who she said “understands power.”
Taylor insisted that Salley’s actions were “not a problem between me and Gaston. It was just like that annoying little thing where you’re like, ‘Just get out of here. Wait. Just stop.’”
