Southern Charm Recap: Madison Slams JT Claims Amid Brett Cancer Battle
Madison LeCroy he made it clear to Southern Charm that he doesn’t have time Jarrett “JT” Thomas‘ asked her husband Brett Randle‘s battle with cancer.
“He’s a troll,” Madison, 34, said of JT during the Thursday, Dec. 19, episode of the Bravo show. “About JT after hearing what he said about us, I don’t want to be associated with this guy.”
Madison told friends Craig Conover and his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo“You don’t play with something like that,” he vowed, “it’s going to get him in the throat.”
During the December 12 episode Southern CharmJT told multiple people that Madison’s husband thought he and Madison were hooking up when the team traveled to Jamaica last season. While Craig, 35, and Shave Rose told JT, “Nobody thinks that,” JT insisted that Brett, 38, saw it that way.
“JT is my friend. Or it was. I was his friend. I had his back,” Madison said in a recent episode. So, the fact that you are talking about my marriage feels like a slap in the face.
He also pointed out that since Brett was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in the fall of 2023 – which he announced earlier this season – JT spreading rumors about them is very damaging. (Brett had surgery to remove a three-centimeter tumor and is now in remission, but Madison said his recovery has been full of ups and downs.)
“The last thing I need is a weasel in this real life-,” Madison told the cameras.
Later in the episode, Madison confronted JT about her allegations. “You made the accusation that my husband thought you and I were having an affair,” Madison said over coffee.
JT, however, said his words “might have been a little twisted,” saying, “I didn’t say we were dating.”
Madison explained that she felt “blindsided” by the fact that he was talking bad about her and her marriage as she thought they were friends. “It’s never been more than that,” he said before throwing shade at his costar. “I’m sorry, JT, but do you f—don’t you see? Have you seen my husband? Do you think that just for one second, I can have a relationship with you?”
JT was surprised but didn’t stop. He also revealed that when Madison previously spoke to him and Brett to ask about what happened in Jamaica, he was “confused.”
“The one time we called you was because he said, ‘Wait, who was at your house late last night?’ I said, ‘Well, a bunch of people are back in my room,'” Madison recalled telling JT, “It wasn’t just me and you.”
The hairdresser, who married Brett in November 2022, told the cameras that her partner is “not a jealous person.” However, since Madison calls her every night except for one on tour, she tells him to call JT to explain what happened that night.
“I think Brett was just trying to make sure it wasn’t me again [my ex] Austen [Kroll] sitting around drinking red wine, eating McDonalds in bed,” said Madison.
JT commented that he felt “uncomfortable” that Brett and Madison called him together to ask him about the run-in. He revealed that after the phone call, “everything changed” with Madison and their friendship. “You mean you took a girl from me,” he said, telling Madison she was left wondering “what did I do wrong?”
Madison, however, had no time for JT or her feelings about the situation. “I think Austen may have been right about you all along. You are not a gentleman,” he said.
Then he told another rumor. “Did you call Patricia an idiot? You’re an idiot,” said Madison referring to Craig who JT used that word to describe. Patricia Altschul behind him.
“What? What are you talking about? I can’t believe I ever called that woman that name,” JT said to himself. He then apologized for not knowing “how to handle” his FaceTime with Madison and Brett.
He concluded that he wanted to “leave it at that,” saying that his match with Madison “doesn’t need to go any further.”
Madison disagreed. “You can’t believe it. I don’t even know why I’m wasting my time talking to you,” he said before leaving the table.
After leaving JT alone, Madison told the cameras that she was done with him. “I will be mad at JT until the day I die,” he vowed. “I think it’s starting to hit him that he made a big mistake. I think he just realizes that he has lost a good friend.”
Southern Charm airs on Bravo Thursdays at 9 pm ET.
