South Korea’s National Assembly voted to censure President Yoon Suk Yeol for his decision to impose temporary martial law on December 3, according to the country’s Yonhap news agency.
The South Korean parliament has reportedly passed this proposal with 204 votes to 85, three members did not hold back and eight votes were rejected.
Yoon’s decision to apply martial law earlier this month sparked widespread protests in Seoul and calls for his resignation.
He later apologized and survived the first impeachment vote last weekend, which members of his People Power Party boycotted.
