With so many stylish royals in the world, it’s hard to believe there is more royal fashion Us obsession. But alas, there’s one British celebrity whose wardrobe we just can’t get enough of these days: Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
Wife of the youngest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Edwardhe has spent many years in the limelight, which gives him ample opportunity to embody a dignified yet elegant sense of style.
Before marrying Edward in 1999, Sophie worked in public relations. Now, she and her husband – who share daughter Lady Louise Windsor and son James, Earl of Wessex – spend much of their time representing the royal family in public debates while supporting their charities and organisations. Love Princess Kate – married to Edward’s niece, Prince William – Sophie knows how to dress for part of her official journey.
Although the former secretary often favors tight ensembles, every now and then she pulls off a script to die for. When she went to Wimbledon in July 2019, she rocked a green paisley printed dress that was perfect for summer. She also wowed in a long coat dress for a Christmas Day church service back in December 2017 which was truly beautiful. Featuring shades of pink, blue and purple, the floral number was a stark contrast to her other holiday looks.
In March 2023, Sophie looked innocent in an ivory skirt suit as she attended the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey in London. The glitzy ensemble featured a fitted blazer and flared skirt, the UK native paired with a round fascinator and pointed toe pumps.
Sophie also stood out from her brother-in-law King Charles IIIher coronation is in May 2023. She looked stunning at the event in a cream dress by Suzannah London under her Royal Victoria Order Mantle.
