Sophia Bush Shares One Mountain Rejuvenation Review
Sophia Bush provides an interesting update on the dynamic One Tree Hill revival.
In August, it was reported that Bush and Hilarie Burton Morganboth 42 years old, developed the WB / CW drama series, which ran for nine seasons from 2003 to 2012. The stars later confirmed the news via Instagram.
“It’s sad when news of the development gets leaked so early … that’s a bummer because we wanted to cross the finish line and have a party,” Bush said. Reach out to Hollywood Wednesday, December 4, interview, noting that the project is in the development phase. “But I will say that the process is really amazing. The fans have been saving the show and have been asking for it for a long time, and they came to us at the studio about it.”
“I think 10 years ago I would have said, ‘Not in your life.’ Now I see an opportunity to not only have a luxury show, but a kind of site that is important to people,” he continued. “So starting to figure out how to tell these stories and bring our whole ragtag team together feels really amazing.”
Bush quipped, “If it happens, I think you’ll be very happy.”
Variety reported by August Bush, Burton Morgan and Danneel Ackles they are producing a series for Netflix. Bush and Burton Morgan are expected to reprise their roles as Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer.
After the news broke, Bush and Burton Morgan confirmed the project via Instagram.
“What if you could really go home?” the stars wrote in the same caption. “If there is an opportunity to collaborate with brilliant creators and create a place where all our friends can show their skills? Do you own our history? Rediscover our site? Respect our fans? Sign us up.”
They added, “There is only one Tree Hill, after all. And you – #OTHfam – have shown us that it’s not just an idea. It really is a place where ‘everything gets better and everything is safe.’”
A friend One Tree Hill alum Chad Michael Murray – who appeared in the first six seasons of the show before leaving with Burton Morgan – said last month he “didn’t know” if he would reprise his role as Lucas Scott, but said he hoped the reboot would “reunite with fans.”
