Silicon Valley hitters take over Trump’s team: “Musk’s twelve allies”
About “a dozen of Musk’s allies” have added a pin to their daily routines to serve as unofficial advisers to Trump’s transition effort, the New York Times said.
Among them, the outlet reports: Jared Birchall, head of Elon Musk’s family office, interviewed several candidates for jobs at the State Department; Marc Andreessen spoke to candidates for senior roles at the State Department, the Pentagon, and the Department of Health and Human Services; Sequoia Capital’s Shaun Maguire examines the intelligence community’s polls; Anduril founder Trae Stephens and Palantir CTO Shyam Sankar have both spoken to Trump transition officials about roles at the Pentagon; and businessmen Mark Pincus and David Marcus participated in discussions with “prospective Trump employees.”
Per the Times, Musk’s mother, Maye, was involved in the change, saying in a recent interview that she “likes to sit in on meetings” with her son.
