LARRY KUDLOW: Kamala Harris may be at the level of the president with the least knowledge of policy

Positives win, negatives lose. That’s the title of “The Riff.”
Positive versus negative. Good always wins. The negative ones always lose. Optimism outweighs pessimism.
Kamala Harris’s closing arguments are incredibly bad. You have to look hard to find any good ones.

He mentioned Donald Trump 24 times in his speech at the Washington Ellipse on Tuesday night — and none of them were very complimentary.
Instead of planning a new lesson, he went back, and gave a hate speech about Donald Trump. Nothing but trash talk. While standing 1,000 feet away, Joe Biden called Trump’s estimated 80 million supporters ‘garbage.’
And this is what Mr. Trump on that today in North Carolina:
PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters, calling them ‘trash.’ And understand… My answer to Joe and Kamala is very simple – you can’t lead America if you don’t love the American people.”
So, Kamala gives us the old “threat to democracy”.

But people have heard it before. They are sick and tired of it. It has been inactive for several years. It won’t work now. Calling Trump all the usual names and lying about Trump’s ban on abortion or skipping IVF, or the socialist vision of making the rich pay their fair share, or a massive 20% national sales tax.
None of this will work. It just won’t. That’s how he planted his feet inside the Beltway six days before the election – and it’s not going to get him anywhere.
Ordinary middle-class families of all colors and races would like to know: “Kamala, what are you going to do for us?” And his soft answer, as always, is: price controls, rent controls, unconstitutional handouts to minority groups, and spending more money without job requirements, breaking the state bank even more.

But none of this has anything to do with the kitchen table concerns that are central to this election, and the crisis of open borders.
Apparently, he has mentioned that he will deport criminals, which is something new and different for him. But then, why didn’t he do it four years ago? And then, what kind of credibility do you have?
One of Kamala’s key problems is this: Voters don’t want a second term for Biden-Harris.
It’s more expensive to buy a car, it’s more expensive to buy a house, real wages are falling, mortgage rates are rising, the problem of not being able to afford to buy continues. The wave of illegal immigration is everywhere. Foreign wars seem to never end. There must be a change.

But, for years, Donald Trump has been arguing for a different course – low taxes, shrinking government, stopping the wet blanket, energy independence, “Stay in Mexico,” building a wall, starving the Iranians, negotiating and ending the regime. The Ukraine-Russia war, ending unfair trade practices, protecting America, and ending a culture war against common middle-class values.

That’s all good. They were going to take the country in a completely different direction.
Kamala Harris is probably the least informed president in memory. Mr. Trump is the most politically aware person in memory.
And he built a new Republican coalition on his policy vision of governing America.

Here is that alliance in his own words — again, today speaking in North Carolina:
TRUMP: “We’ve included veterans and union members, soldiers and steelworkers, farmers and auto workers and patriotic mothers and fathers of all races, religions, colors and creeds. OK? We’re accepting historic numbers of African Americans and Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans. And and Arab Americans and we include Christians and Jews and Catholics and evangelicals and Muslims and Mormons and everyone who wants just one thing.
Like I said, the positives won, the negatives lost. And that’s not rubbish.
That means “The Riff.”
