Selling The City’s Jade Chan Reveals If She Still Plans To Sue Netflix
Selling a House‘s Jade Chan threatened to sue Netflix while filming the show’s season finale — but is it still the show?
“No, I’m not taking legal action,” Jade said to herself Us Weekly before Selling a House‘s debut on Friday, January 3. “I [actually want to] I thanked the producers for their beautiful way of telling that story and showing the fun that was there in that tense moment.”
Jade was grateful that the explosion of the final moments of season 1 still reflected her vision.
“They were very respectful of knowing what was right and what was wrong [what to include]. Because there was more to that scene than the one moment that was shown. So I thank them and I respect them for that matter,” he continued. “That’s where those words of mine really came from. Because there were under-the-belt things mentioned on both sides – from Abigail [Godfrey] and me – that I would never want to be shown to the whole world. “

Jade started the season on good terms with Eleonora – but not with Abi. Things between Jade and Eleonora, 37, became difficult after Jade’s rude words were revealed. Although they were able to patch it up at the end of the season, Abi felt that Jade had said something about others without being held accountable.
“Jade is running [from a conversation]. I want to look into his eyes and I want to know what kind of person he is. You’re my family and anyone of-and our family, you’re going to get f-ing angry. I don’t want to disturb my friend of a decade, okay?” Abi said at the last moment. “That is cheating. If he doesn’t [admit to it]you will look like the biggest donkey.”
Jade refused to talk to Abi on screen. “I don’t want to do this. Get this out of me,” he told the producer. “He is depressed. I’m not talking like a 12 year old. You don’t know me. F – this. No.”
As the conversation heated up, Jade took a shot at Abi, calling her “ugly” off camera.
“I’m not doing this. If any of your asses show up, I will sue all of your asses,” continued Jade. “I’m an older woman with a real job. This camera better get out of my f—king face. I’ve never been mic’d. I’m done. I’ve never been mic’d. F— you, Netflix. F- Netflix. F – everyone.”
Jade said Us that this moment builds the whole season, he added, “I hold everything until it’s time to explode – and that’s exactly what happened. Obviously we were filming the last one so we’re 12 weeks in and there’s been a lot going on. It was a lot to release and I was seeing red.”
The real estate agent was not happy that his personal views were aired.
“I was scolded and the things that were said to me came from Eleonora. In the end, those things that were said gave me confidence and I felt betrayed, that’s why I came to Eleonora,” explained Jade. “I tried to control myself. And he kept coming to me.”
Now, however, Jade doesn’t hold a grudge against her cosars. “[Eleonora] going through the process of conveying my truth that was told in the program. I AM ALIVE. I was also stabbed but I truly believe that I was completely true to myself,” he said Us. “And we will get through this. I don’t have strong feelings about him revealing things about me and throwing me under the bus. All good. I don’t feel bad because I am confident in who I am and my authenticity. We will pass.”
Selling a House is streaming on Netflix.
