No celebrity has made as many headlines or worn the little black dress as Gomez, 32. In between winning her first Emmy Loner Criminals in the Building and traveling the world to promote his latest film, Emilia Perezcontinues to redefine the classic LBD look every time.
Singer, actress, beauty entrepreneur and recent inductee into the billionaire club, Gomez has worn many hats over the years, and her style has evolved to match each career milestone.
Set to play Linda Ronstadt in the upcoming biopic, Gomez dressed the part of the leading lady in a romantic rock ‘n’ roll while stepping out on Saturday, October 12, in London.

Boylan again James Keach produced a 2019 documentary, Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voicestarring Nicks as her, and they’re set to make a biopic starring Gomez.
Many credit Gomez’s authenticity with helping her succeed, and as it is, she didn’t stray from her glamorous black outfit on Saturday evening in a black coat with colorful embellishments. The detail was a nod to Ronstadt, who often wore flowers in her hair on stage.
Gomez opted for a flowing cape coat with silver appliqué and a fringed scarf, recalling Nicks, 76,’s famous black scarves and larger-than-life capes.
And Gomez would know, given that she currently calls the mansion in Encino, California, once owned by the late Tom Petty, home. For the uninitiated, Petty and Nicks write songs for each other and perform together on stage, often doing impromptu versions of fan-favorite hits (ask Alexa to play their biggest hit, “Stop Draggin’ My Heart”).
After buying the place in 2022, Gomez told New Daily Music on Apple that good vibes were on the walls (the home recording studio, no doubt, helps). “It’s that atmosphere, and knowing that Stevie Nicks was there,” he said with a sigh. “There’s a lot of history, so when I’m in that place, I feel like it’s very important.”
Personally, Nicks had a history of piling on leather and lace by the pound before playing. Meters of fabric were like fashion clothes for the singer, who suffered from stage fright. A master of versatile style, the Grammy winner made the most of several wardrobe changes during the performances, switching to a different dark look for each song.
Quick changes, of course, are commonplace for Gomez, who hasn’t gone a day without wearing at least one LBD, and sometimes, donning two black outfits just hours apart.
Style is Erin WalshGomez’s press tour wardrobe strikes the perfect balance of tough femininity and soft power — and reinvents the LBD to influence, seduce and enchant in new ways.
In an interview with Netflix, her stylist shared details on Gomez’s darkest style. “The key to strong femininity,” says Walsk “is not to be afraid to go for dark tones and textures.”
Indeed, from pop celebrities to rock stars and style stars all around, Gomez and Nicks are proof that the LBD is a statement piece that’s never short of style possibilities — or staying power.
