Scenes from the Battlefield Under Philadelphia on Election Day

Pennsylvania is a place key battleground state for the 2024 election: Whoever wins here will likely be in the White House next year. We spent some time today in Warrington Township, a suburb of Philadelphia in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. What we saw was a divided city. “Communist” and “Fascist” signs are plastered on the streets, depicting the story of two Americans at odds.

As the contentious election season finally draws to a close, we’ve seen huge appeals in this small community, with people of all political stripes pushing their messages before time runs out. It is too early to tell where this province will end up. But we know that regardless of the outcome, it can be difficult to repair the rifts that occur along the way.
