Save up to 40 percent on Star Wars, Super Mario sets
It’s not hard to understand why Lego sets are one of the most sought after holiday gifts. We’re big fans of architecture here at Engadget, and we know they make great gifts this time of year. Whether it’s an original Super Mario set or a massive Star Wars collection, there are plenty of Lego sets to consider buying right now – either for yourself or someone on your gift list. And no, you don’t have to spend a fortune to get a good set as some come in at $50 or less. These are the best Black Friday deals on Lego sets you can find this year.
Highlights of Black Friday include a couple of Lego advent calendars: one for Disney fans and one more common for all kids. Lego makes a bunch of advent calendars in addition to those, and we expect to see more of them on sale in the coming days. There is also a Beautiful Insect Collection, which when completed, will include three life-size models, a butterfly, a Hercules beetle and a Chinese praying mantis. Even a bun hater appreciates the beauty of this set and how amazing it can look sitting on a shelf.
Star Wars, Super Mario and Harry Potter sets are also discounted. This Phantom Menace Mos ESPA Podrace Diorama set features podracer brick models of Anakin Skywalker and his rival Sebulba as well, and this discount is a new low. This King Boo’s Haunted Mansion set is on sale for the first time since its launch, and in addition to the brick mansion that opens up for better play, it also includes figures of King Boo, Yellow Baby Yoshi, Dry Bones and Boo. Finally, this Expecto Patronum set allows you to build two different figures from the series, Harry Potter’s stag patronus or Professor Remus Lupin’s wolf patronus, with the same bricks.
We’ll be updating this post throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so check back for the latest deals.
