Riot is making a physical League of Legends TCG, and it’s not LoR

Riot recently announced a trading card game (TCG) . It’s called Project K and it looks like a lot of fun. The cards look well drawn and drawn from IPs all over the wider LoL world, .

Project K is not a portable version of a digital card game that just happened Legends of Runeterraalthough it uses other characters and places in it. It’s a brand new experience that the creators say is designed for “everyone who loves card games, collecting and connecting with friends across the table.”

To do that, there are many game modes that suit different types of players. Like most trading card games, players can create unique decks that encourage specific play styles. For example, the Jinx deck, which appears Arcaneuseful for causing “as much chaos as possible.” That’s kind of his whole thing.

If this sounds familiar, that’s because Riot teased the Chinese card game earlier this year, . This looks like it could be the same game, based on some of the art that goes along with the backs of the cards as seen in both trailers.

Now about the bad news. Riot already has a publishing partner for China, but not for the rest of the world. It is currently looking for a partner based in the US. This may delay the release of the game a bit, although it will come out in China early next year. Despite this hiccup, the company says it will open orders for the game’s Arcane Box Set in the coming months.
