RHONJ Dina Manzo’s Ex-Husband Thomas Gets 7 Year Prison Sentence

Thomas Manzowho was the husband of The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Dina Manzohe was sentenced to seven years in prison.

In a press release issued by the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey on Tuesday, October 15, US Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced that Thomas, 59, was sentenced to 84 months in prison for “hiring, then assisting, a member of the Lucchese Crime Family to beat” Dina’s husband, David Cantinin 2015.

The document noted that Thomas was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and “ordered that he be returned to custody immediately.”

Thomas, who lived in Franklin Lakes, was convicted by a jury on June 4 after a two-and-a-half-week trial in Newark federal court. He was found guilty of one count of committing a felony in aid of fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit a felony in aid of fraud and one count of falsifying and concealing documents related to a government investigation.

Sellinger was quoted in the document, telling Thomas during the trial, “Whether you’re actually in the Mafia or not, hiring a mob to attack someone because of your marital problems is abhorrent. Covering up the role you played makes it worse. The judge’s decision, and today’s sentence, make it clear that this office will not stop punishing anyone who commits such a crime.”

ABC News reported at the time that court records showed Thomas was “upset” about his ex-wife’s new relationship and wanted the attack to “leave a permanent scar on his face.”

One day after Thomas was found guilty, Dina, 52, shared a photo of herself on social media raising her hands to the sky as the sun shone on a large memorial stone. When one of her fans commented on the photo, “Light always wins!!!!! ✨✨✨✨✨,” Dina replied, “ALWAYS ✨.”

On Tuesday, when the news of Thomas’ conviction was released to the public, Dina took to Instagram Stories to share her role with others. “Because at the end of the day good people fight for you. Good people appear,” reads the passage. “Good people care, not only when life is good, but when it’s hard and weird and painful everywhere.”
