Review: Informal Flotilla holiday with Eail Ionia, Lefkada, Greece

One week this summer, we were our Greek adventurers. Since there are no regular household chores and without opening my laptop, we simply enjoy the quality time together – and the extension of Ioia blue. Welcome to the flotilla shipwreck – with the grace of SAIL Ionian, a private family company working outside VLI Bay, Leflanda.

Besides telling you, we looked forward to a simple walk of spiritism, short hops between the islands, and the unusual sun. Most of our training had been other invisible coastal conditions, but hopefully we would have hoped it well for anything unexpected.

The idea of shiping a group – in Convoy, but the freedom to navigate and hand support – provided a complete combination of independence and reassurance.

What flotilla holiday?

Flotilla is small boat ships – usually no more than ten-walks free of the same way. Every evening, everybody gathers Durban or Durban, but at noon, you are free to go sail, check, understand, or slow. Some companies provide a public contact program in the evening, while others – like Oinorian sail – does not allow you to join others or as little as you like.

The support comes in the form of leading team that guides, advise, and occasionally enter when fighting with moor. It’s a camaraderie with a light touch. To be guided without intervening. And our Flotilla Support team includes kippper Maria (gone with Rodney radio name for some reason!), Ervin, and Nick – all reflected when needed, such as nautical type.

What is the required boat ride?

At Greece, at least one person on the board needs an ICC (international skills certificate or a rya skipper degree. The second adult must be at least one of the ‘skillful crew’ – in fact the person who knows their hole on their starboard and will not arrest the boom during the bomb season.

To be a Skipper Day, there are ideas and part of the active section – at least 40 hours of study recommended for the vision, while taking priority course, such as the CRECEN Cercen Cercen). When Sunene-Rya Day Skipper Qualifficial, you can obtain an ICC certificate but this is currently not required in Greece – just a skipper day will be enough.

We were ten older group in all two families – four suitable skippers of skippers of various technology in our family and six novelices are enthusiastic. We had begun to collision two yachts but the rules would not allow us to decide and changed staff in this, so we would decide one boat for all.

This has made good balance for the experience and wonder of new eyes, with adequate sailing skills, but there is no surprise shortages for what we received.

Our Yacht

The TE Anu sleeps 10 – until four of the en suite on the bow, two ENUTH rooms in the AFT, and Saloon can accommodate two or three others. Of course, with ten of us on board, it was fun – but we knew it would be so and repaired … it’s a good job that meets. When the church improves, several of us loves sleeping under the stars in the porch as that is usually good and cool.

Our way

Our route was to take around the Indian, which costs a variety of islands, with a highlighted trip as a week, subject to the weather. Here is where our trip took us:

Day 1: Uvli Bay, Lesfkada to Kuvathy, Manifest

Sail Ionia doesn’t mean anything-dally. After the approval and yacht Hander by Chris, we had been turned off from the Dobodo and traveled via the VLIO strait in Ndamadami. The sea was mild-tempered, and we looked forward to the adventure that was coming.

Day 2: Vathy, Men Tathisi to vote, LeflandA

The morning involved power movements and a little parking before starting again. Among the Mictanti and Lephkada, we grabbed dolphins – very fast with the camera, but enough to shake large smiles in our face.

We have given up anchor at Mikros Gialos to swim with snorkel, before continuing the voting, where we increased without the Ranani Tavanan. Our watchman was a very character and even faced a selfie and our group, told us myth, and worked for the Dorapade, a dorada, a perfect flak.

Day 3: We vote, LEFDADA in Fiskardo, Kefalonia

The Spirit was our kindness. We sailed – really silent – Most of the passage near 4-5 knots, unprepared speeds that makes you aware of the water that goes different.

Day 4: Fiskardo, Kefalonia in Vathy, Tacaca

There are many Vatses in Greece, and today we visited another: the one in the ethica area, which is held at the Odysseus home and proud to be one of the deepest natural ports in Ionian. .

We stopped in PhilijTrost Beach – Turquoise, crystaline, polcard-complete – and spilled an hour to swim, shout, and paddleboarding. That night, he was safely fixed, crossed Tavna and cooked inside TE ANA . Evening and stars as our roof.

5: Vathy, Idaca To Kalamos, Kalamos Island

After walking on the morning, we sailed towards Atokos Island, an amazing corruption of aquamarine stone – pigs.

Yes, pigs. With different beliefs often come from why there are, the ships from ships from food, they have become impossible icons. But if you have to visit, please remember these animals and don’t get them up as we see one baby … pig’s mother never appeared very happy!

Later, we arrived in Kalamor, where we were wandered in Agoboborós Beach, and we were happy.

Day 6: Kalamos, Kalamos Island to Palairos, Mainland Greece

Our number – itself is included – each day was held. This challenge in the morning: 180m went up to a church Agios Georgios before breakfast in George’s. Designed in 1886, the same time provides a sweeping view, perhaps, a small clario clarification of cardio.

Day 7: Palairos, Mainland Greece to Vathy, not

With our predications and our Flotilla storms come close, we decided to return to Vathy, Menanasusi, we return to a place where we knew Taverna. But before this, we pressed in Pachara Bay, was reduced with swimming and experienced in both lunch.

Day 8: Vathy, Men Tathusi to Vlancha Bey, Leflandada

A short car, the morning quiet brought us a full circle. The Ionian sun had lighted the week and now we were usually done a little, little salt, and completely beaten.

We packed our items, cleaned Tele Anu and we had a late breakfast Evil Zacht Club, before our families meant, but not without promise to make the same adventure together next year. Our holidays were not as one left within a few days – we were in Greece still, and another family returned to the United States in Italy.

Final decision

Usually when people think about the luxury yachting holidays, they can think of the silver trays and white gloves. This was not like everything – it was better. It was funny, magical, in the chaisaria. And this luxury began with the situation together, chronic laughter and memorable experiences.

We took selfies with pigs. We ate the red snapper that was caught in a number of hours before. Somehow we have been able to be filled for eight days to be on the boat into Florilla seven days. And the flotilla setup gave us freedom and net security. The adventure with a guidance. Independence without separation.

Can we do it again? Certainly. Although in the future, we can keep the time for what extensively, “this is life”.
