Starbucks has released a preview of its 2024 holiday cup designs, titled “Merrier Together,” ahead of its scheduled Nov. 7 store debut.
This year there will be four hot cup designs and one cold one, which the coffee giant’s creative director Kristy Cameron says is inspired by “happy moments.”

“We love finding these genuine moments of joy and coffee to inspire creativity,” Cameron said in a news release. “Whether it’s growing coffee trees, roasted beans, roasted cups, or bright lights – we wanted to share the warmth of our coffee house and the anticipation of the red cups that come with our customers and partners.”

“We’re so excited about the love of green this year. Jade green is bright and bold, and we love how it references our brand colors in a way that brings a spark of joy to our holiday lips this season,” said Cameron. .

According to the design team, the designs revive old ornaments or peppermint sweets, which contain a wavy motif inspired by the Starbucks siren. Each design also has a badge area for baristas to write messages.

“We call it the ‘siren wave.’ It’s a great holiday accent that you can see on our signs and packaging, or as a gift tag on the back of our cups as a place for baristas to write messages to our customers,” Cameron said.

“We’ve been thinking about this idea of a meeting of voices, like our singing of the siren,” he said. “It sounds like music in a way.”
