Prince Harry Was ‘Awesome’ With Kids at London Charity Event

Prince Harry made a great impression on children during his recent charity event in London.

The Duke of Sussex has been a patron of WellChild – an organization that raises money for children and young people with special needs who need care at home instead of in hospitals – for the past 16 years.

The not-for-profit organisation’s annual event, held on Monday, 30 September, celebrates the inspirational qualities of the UK’s seriously ill children and young people, and those who make a difference to their lives.

“Harry is amazing with the kids and spent time backstage with all the winners long before the ceremony started,” said an onlooker. Us. “He was talking to all of them and had learned things about them all, so it was intimate and touching. He’s very good at that, living with children. “

Speaking to the crowd in attendance at the WellChild Awards, Harry shared glimpses of his fatherhood journey.

“As a parent, I know a little bit about how a parent feels,” he told the audience. “But, when I hear about the care of most of you mothers, fathers and family members; the level of hourly care you provide; skills you have had to learn; and the support battles you fight every day — I am truly amazed. You are all amazing, and your love and devotion is nothing short of heroic.”

During his speech, Harry vowed to continue to support the organization. He also revealed that working with the foundation is something he is “proud of”.

“For most of us, it’s everyday life that we can’t imagine, but somehow, the new people I meet are always smiling and every room they enter seems to glow with warmth and peace,” he said. “So keep being yourself. You have this. And we have you.”

After visiting London, Harry was expected to go to Africa where he was supposed to have lunch with Miss Senate Seeiso of Lesotho.
