Real estate developer PonteFino Estates unveiled on September 26 the Forum IT Business Park, a 4.26-hectare Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA)-registered commercial township in Batangas City.
This is the first real estate development in Batangas City to receive certification from the Department of Trade and Industry’s PEZA as an information technology business location.
With 22 commercial areas, the ecozone will be built in accordance with the needs of technology-oriented companies involved in business process outsourcing, information process outsourcing, and other support services.
“Each commercial property is between 300-1000 square meters that can be purchased,” according to Charyna B. Francisco, vice president of marketing at PonteFino Group of Companies.
Three plots have been sold to local companies, the media said when they visited the area on September 26.
“We think this was BGC [Bonifacio Global City] of southern Luzon,” said Ms. Francisco.
Forum IT Park will also have commercial and retail spaces adjacent to residential developments The Mansions, Park Avenue, and Accent Crest.
The 138-room hotel is available for both short and long-term stays.
“We aim to provide developments that improve the business environment while enriching the lives of our residents,” said John Thomas M. Garcia, vice president of sales at PonteFino Estates, in a Sept. 26 press release.
Batangas City, which has the second largest port in the world and hosts more than 100 international companies, is positioned by PonteFino as a prime location for investment in the local and international markets.
Batangas City Mayor Beverly Rose A. Dimacuha-Mariño said the partnership with the real estate developer will boost the economy through job creation, investment, and cooperation.
“The establishment of the Forum … is a testament to our collective vision as a successful knowledge economy in Batangas City,” the statement read.
“It is an exciting time to be part of the growth of Batangas City,” said Mr. Garcia.
“We are confident that this PonteFino development will…contribute to the long-term development of the city,” he added.
The target date for completion of The Forum ecozone is December 2028.
