Need answers to the New York Times Connections puzzle? For me, Wordle is more of a vocabulary test, but Connections is more of a brainteaser program. You are given 16 words and asked to put them into four groups that are connected in some way. Sometimes they are obvious, but game designer Wyna Liu manages to trick you by using words that can fit into more than one group. Read on for tips and answers for today’s Connection.
There is also news in the world of Connections. The Times now has a Connections Bot, like the long-running Wordle. Go there after playing to get numerical scores and have the program analyze your answers. And players registered in the Times Games section can now log out by tracking their progress, including the number of puzzles completed, win rate, total score times and their winning streak.

How to play Connections
Playing is easy. Winning is hard. Look at the 16 words and put them into four related groups. Click on the four words that you think match. Groups are color coded, although you won’t know what goes where until you see the answers. The yellow group is the easiest, then green, then blue, and purple is the hardest. Look at the words carefully and think of related terms. Sometimes the connection is related to part of the name. At one point, four names were grouped because they each started with the name of a rock band, including “Rushmore” and “Journeyman.”
