Nicklaus Flaz-Christian Gomez Headlines November 9 ProBox TV Show in Kissimmee; Joseph Diaz Also Featured

Nicklaus Flaz is the latest to rule the roost in a show that keeps on changing its top.
The welterweight champion will face Christian Gomez of Guadalajara in the new main event on Nov. 9 ProBox TV. Their scheduled ten-round bout will feature a nine-fight card at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.
Flaz-Gomez was confirmed on Wednesday’s ProBox TV show when Shurretta Metcalf unseated IBF bantamweight champion Miyo Yoshida in New York City.
Former junior lightweight Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (33-6-1, 15 knockouts) was previously slated to hold the top spot. His previously scheduled fight against Nicholas Walters was supposed to take place on October 9 and has been pushed back one month for the match.
Interesting comparisons between former title holders are no longer in play. Diaz will face Miami’s Yoandris Salinas (23-2-2, 16 KOs) in a ten-round lightweight bout.
Flaz (13-2, 9 KOs) will fight for the third time on the ProBox TV circuit. His last two appearances came at the series’ headquarters in Plant City, Florida. In this case, you find a very convenient location for Boricua in the greater Orlando area, which has a large Puerto Rican population.
Among Flaz’s current five-fight winning streak are back-to-back victories over unbeaten Brian Ceballo and Jahi Tucker. You have changed that to a ProBox family environment. The fight will mark the third time in a year because of that relationship.
Gomez (23-4-1, 21 KOs) will fight for the fourth time in the US, and this will be his first East Coast debut.
Guadalajara’s most famous boxer, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs), Gomez, Gomez has scored knockouts in his last ten wins. However, the run was interrupted by back-to-back losses to the undefeated Shakhram Giyasov and Isaiahs Lucero.
Jesus Saracho (14-2-1, 11 KOs), another native of Guadalajara will face Fernando Bunch (13-1, 6 KOs), in a 10-rounder at junior welterweight. Saracho will be fighting at a ProBox event for the fourth time in his last five fights.
Also on the show, the Orlando-based 2020 Haitian Olympian Darrell Valsaint (11-0, 9 KOs) meets Angel Ruiz (18-3-1, 13 KOs) in a ten-round middleweight bout.
Valsaint has owned ProBox since its inception in 2022. This appearance will be the ninth under the Garry Jonas-owned company.
