Munguia Vs. Surace Rematch Scheduled for April 12
Jaime Munguia will reportedly fight his former champion, Bruno Surace, in a rematch on April 12 in Tijuana, Mexico.
Former WBO junior middleweight champion Munguia (44-2, 35 KOs) hopes to avenge his disappointing sixth round loss to Surace (26-0-2, 5 KOs) from last month on December 14 in front of his hometown fans. Tijuana.
Cobra Strike
Munguia, 28, got careless in the sixth round and was dropped by a right hand from the Cobra-like Surance. The shot sent Munguia face down to the canvas.
Jaime was out on his feet after standing up, and the referee, Juan Jose Ramirez, called it off instead of allowing him to be confused a second time by the Frenchman.
Labonita_delboxeo reports the Munguia vs. Surace on his Instagram channel.
It is questionable whether it is a good idea for Munguia to take a match with Surace because this guy may have his number. Earlier in the fight, Jaime dropped him with a hook to the head.
However, Surace surprised Munguia moments later with a cobra-like right hand to the head. Munguia took it well, but that shot was the same as the right that dropped him later in the sixth fight.
