Miranda Lambert Celebrates Her Horses Winning Green Ribbons

Miranda Lambert took a short break from killing the stage to show his prized horses at the Oklahoma State Fair.

“I took a little break last weekend from album release press to do one of my favorite things in the world,” Lambert, 40, wrote on Instagram on Saturday, September 28. “Showing my horses, Gypsy Vanner’s, the Oklahoma State Fair with great friends and family.”

He continued, “Horses are my place of happiness. What better way to celebrate Postcards From Texas than to do something COUNTRY and WESTERN. Thanks to my friends @samanthacrook1 and @kenda_lenseigne for all the grit and glitter. 💖🐴🤠🐴👏 The Blue Ribbon Club!”

In the photos, the country star is standing next to his friends in the stadiums. She wore an all-black dress from her fashion line Idyllwind, featuring a bright button-down shirt with embroidered wide-leg pants. Lambert completed his look with a matching cowboy hat.

Miranda Lamberts Horses Win Blue Ribbons at Oklahoma State Fair

“We are cool. When we get out of work, I’m in my hang vibe. We will make drinks and listen to music,” said Lambert alone Us Weekly in his September cover story. “Sometimes we’ll have the best parties by ourselves. He likes what he calls ‘happy hour music’ — Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls. So we have different tastes, but we’ll sit there for hours and listen. Lambert and the former police officer have pets.

Lambert also has two pet dogs, named Cher and Bellamy. “I’ve lost two in the last three months, so that’s part of it,” he added earlier this month. “It’s never fun, but love is worth it.”

Lambert’s quiet life in the country helped inspire his new album, Postcards From Texas.
