By sending timely alerts, the robot dog can help authorities deal with emergencies such as fire outbreaks.
“Meet my new friend Rocky, Ericsson’s 5G robot dog that helps in effective emergency response. By sending early warnings, it can help authorities deal with emergencies like fire outbreaks,” Scindia said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) .
Scindia was given a demonstration of a 5G-enabled robotic dog, as officials from the Ericsson booth explained its functionality. The Minister then patted Rocky, after the protest.
India Mobile Congress (IMC), Asia’s largest digital technology forum, is an annual event organized by the Department of Communications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
The eighth edition of the IMC – a platform that showcases innovation and technology – also saw Scindia meet Chief Ministers, State Government IT Ministers and IT Secretaries.
“Had a fruitful discussion on best practices for development of telecommunication infrastructure, aligning government policies with innate capabilities of respective countries, encouraging OEMs and strengthening the #MakeInIndia campaign to position India as a manufacturing nation!,” the Minister wrote in another post.
“We look forward to working with all States/UTs to build a strong, secure and stable telecom sector,” Scindia said.
